Art students at Joseph Gomez Elementary School recently celebrated the VI/PR Frendship Day holiday with a series of handcrafted flags, under the leadership of Linda D. Freeman, senior art educator and immediate past kindergarten educator.
Ms. Freeman's monthly art exhibts have welcomed parents, students and teachers to the school over the last decade. The flags, in celebration of the congenial spirit between the two U.S. territories, were exhibited on bulletin boards in the school's administrative building.
The Flags were created by fifth grade students in the following homeroom classes:
5- Mrs. Shenelle Warner
5- Mrs. Roslyn Samuel- Hodge and
5- Mrs. Lelia Donovan-Challenger
